Nike has surprised the sneaker world by launching the Nike Air Max 97 Ultra ‘17 last October. It’s a return of the former Nike Air Max released in 1997 with some design improvement and lightness brought by technologies. Until the early second quarter of 2018, the reborn is still hunted all over the world.

Nike has replaced the multi-layered upper with a single piece of Jacquard upper while maintained the original looks including its wavy tribal appearance. This upper improvement has brought the sneaker to be lighter and more breathable, which means more comfort for your back foot. The 3M reflective stripe is no longer embroidered, it’s tapped on upper instead.

Nike also brings some improvements to the bottom which also support a lighter and more comfortable sneaker. The reborn model supports a more smooth and softer experience even you’re in a longer duration of sporting activities. It’s due to changes applied by lowering the pressure in the Air sole and get the midsole thinner than previous models. The colors of the sole are mostly white and black while the bottom layer may adjust the color of the upper.

While Nike applies some improvements on functional aspects, the reborn is keeping the wavy upper design. While air sole has replaced the old sole, it provides a more sporty and lighter look. From certain perspectives, it may lose casual bottom looks but certainly, you gain more comforts and stylish look on it. Leaving embroiderment is a wise step to make this shoe more compact and light.

While the upper and bottom parts have been simplified with technologies, Nike also does some enhancement in materials. Nike seems to apply modern materials to support ventilatory system, softness, lightness and maybe durability.
Some people consider that reissuing Nike Air Max 97 is a mistake. However, the market has shown a high acceptance, not only for those who have a nostalgic background but also the rest of AIr Max lovers.

The reborn comes in various colors including the original 97 color, Metallic Gold, and Silver Bullet. Nike also applies Snakeskin to the premium version as well as, Ultra SE style and Ultra Jacquard version. The presence of Marina Blue variant has surprised the market as it’s released in August 2017.

There are 20 colorways for Nike Air Max 97 Ultra ‘17 available in the retail stores which pamper Air Max fans. the newest colorway is the mind-blowing “Confetti” which will be released this month.
